March 20 - Day 20
Today the wind played nice for about 25 miles, and the rest of the time it was at our side, so that helped considerably. We ended up in Leakey, Texas - 102 miles from where we started in Del Rio.
We saw two dead rattlesnakes along the road today - big fat ones! So far we have seen javelinas, armadillos, mule deer, whitetail deer, antelope, kangaroo rats, coyotes, turkey, ravens and a lot of other birds, and many butterflies.
We entered the "Hill Country" the last 20 miles today. We'll be doing a lot of up and down travel over the next two days - should make for some interesting riding - they are steep, but short hills.
Internet coverage is very slow, so no pictures tonight. And, I'm tired and still need a shower, so I apologize for such a short entry, but we need to get some good sleep so we can hop on that bike again tomorrow. Luckily, we still are happy to hop on the bike - since each day provides new areas and adventures, riding the bikes is still fun. And with the weather, climbs, hurting body parts, etc., you never know how far you'll go each day, so that adds to the day's enjoyment and sense of accomplishment.

How many of those animals did you count from inside that metal sculpture lot? Keep counting armadillos, that might be my pledge amount...If you see a 71 Cuda, 67 Tempest, or 68 GTO, get coordinates on it for me.
