March 22 - Day 22

I love trees for a lot of reasons, and today added one more.  For a large portion of the day, trees were blocking a nasty cross wind nicely - a very nice treat  - thanks trees!

We went through several nice creeks lined with cypress trees.

And a lot of goat farms.

My Mom flew into the area last night and is staying with her Aunt Mary.  So they came to see us today, we had some pie at Wimberley and ate supper here in Lockhart where we ended up tonight.  Tomorrow we are going to get off the bike early to meet them again along with one of my aunts and uncles and cousin from Dad's side of the family tomorrow night - it will be a small family reunion!

We rode 102 miles today, lot of hills, but only a few really steep ones.  Weather was nice, cloudy most of the day allowing it to stay cooler than normal.

We are slightly more than 1/2 way done with the trip at this point, 1615 miles completed.

P.S.  Yes, Adeline, I will email your Mom the picture of the dead rattlesnake (it is pretty cool...)
